Kim Kardashian is making headlines again, but for a more positive reason: she and sister Khloé are in Sydney for the launch of the Kardashian Kollection handbag collection. The launch party at Hugo's nightclub in Kings Cross caused quite an excited stir with fans, who will likely line the streets for the David Jones debut today.
The media have been reportedly snapping up press passes in anticipation for the sisters' trip to Melbourne this weekend.
Available exclusively in Australia, the bags (ranging from clutches and slings to hobos and totes) retail for $40-120 and may be purchased online or at David Jones stores.

On why they chose Australia to launch their handbag line: Kim: "You know I’ve been to Australia tons of times, and we love our fan base out here. Everyone’s been so good to us out here and that's why we wanted to come out with a handbag line exclusively for Australia."

On opening a Dash store in Sydney: Kim: “We’ve talked about it, like where we would want to. Sydney is a place where I could really live. It reminds me so much of the States. It’s so laid back — it’s Lamar’s first time here, and he went out today by himself and he was like, ‘It’s so laid back, and everyone’s so nice.’ That’s exactly what I say to people when they ask if they should come here. I’m like, ‘You’ll love it.’”
On how much creative input they had in the Kollection: Khloé: “The entire collection. It’s our collection. Me, Kourtney and Kim [designed] the entire thing ourselves.” Kim: “We’re really heavily involved in the design process from start to finish. And that’s why we partnered up with Bruno. We’ve had the opportunity to partner up with people before; we wanted the creative control, and he [Bruno] really gave it to us.”
